The 2025 Blisslets Guide to Disney World's Ten Most Nauseating Rides

The 2025 Blisslets Guide to Disney World's Ten Most Nauseating Rides

Many rides have debuted at Disney World since we first launched our well-loved guide to the most nauseating rides in the parks, so we're back with an updated list for 2025!

Whether you're actually planning a visit or merely curious, the key thing to know is that a little planning ahead (plus bringing along your favorite pair of Blisslets!) is the secret to having a great time and feeling well throughout the day.

These recommendations are based on our own experience, research, and polls of park visitors, leading to what we consider the definitive guide to the most nauseating attractions at Disney World!

TIER 1: Highly Nauseating Attractions

1. Mission Space (EPCOT)

  • Nausea Triggers: centrifugal motion delivering force of 2.5G, screens
  • Nausea Likelihood: very high

This is likely the closest you'll ever get to experiencing spaceflight (unless you happen to be a tech billionaire). But look, we'll put it simply: the barf bags in this attraction aren't just for decoration. Thankfully, you do have an option of riding on the less intense version of the ride, so if you're not sure how you might fare make sure you use the Green Line (and don't leave your Blisslets in your pocket).

2. Star Tours (Hollywood Studios)

  • Nausea Triggers: motion (jerky movements), screens
  • Nausea Likelihood: high

Our runner up for most nauseating ride at Disney world is another space-themed simulator. If that kind of ride tends to make you feel queasy, beware. Star Tours is a venerable attraction, offering six simulator experiences based in the Star Wars universe. Unfortunately, the older technology this ride uses often triggers motion sickness. The newer Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run may be a better bet, though still potentially nausea-inducing. Same goes for Avatar: Flight of Passage (included below).

3. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT)

  • Nausea Triggers: speed/acceleration, turns, rotating ride cart, screens
  • Nausea Likelihood: high

Not far from Mission Space is another ride that has become infamous for its nausea-inducing properties since it opened in 2022. It is also considered by many to be one of the most impressive rides in all of Disney World—an exciting, yet family friendly ride that combines mild roller-coaster thrills with screens.

This combination makes for a highly immersive experience, as well as a strong likelihood that you'll get motion sick. When a group of personal friends recently tried it, the only ones who didn't feel queasy were the ones wearing their Blisslets. They all still thought it was worth it, but don't go in unprepared.

TIER 2: Moderately Nauseating Attractions

4. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios)

  • Nausea Triggers: intense acceleration/speed, dips, turns, inversions
  • Nausea Likelihood: moderate

This is perhaps Disney World's most intense roller coaster, starting with an intense acceleration that takes you into a loop and upside-down twist. If not knowing where the floor is triggers your motion sickness, proceed with caution and make sure to wear your Blisslets.

5. Avatar: Flight of Passage (Animal Kingdom)

  • Nausea Triggers: subtle motion, screens with 3D goggles
  • Nausea Likelihood: moderate

This is such an innovative, immersive ride, that for most people I'd recommend riding it, even at the cost of paying with motion sickness. Last time we were there, my husband forgot to put on his Blisslets and felt quite queasy on the way out, though the feeling subsided quickly after he put them on. Motion sick or not, however, the experience of soaring through the planet Pandora in what is perhaps the most convincing simulator anywhere on the planet is absolutely worth it.

6. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure (EPCOT)

  • Nausea Triggers: motion, screens with 3D goggles
  • Nausea Likelihood: moderate

This family-friendly ride, located in the France pavilion of EPCOT, is a trackless dark ride that uses a series of screens and sets to simulate the experience of being shrunk down to the size of a rat and being chased around a restaurant by waiters and cooks. While low on thrills, the combination of movement and screens can actually be quite powerful when it comes to triggering nausea, so be warned if you're sensitive.

7. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run (Hollywood Studios)

  • Nausea Triggers: motion (jerky movements), screens
  • Nausea Likelihood: moderate

Ever dreamt of piloting the Millennium Falcon? Now you can do it at Disney's Hollywood Studios in this interactive simulator! Like the Avatar and Ratatouille rides mentioned above, however, this ride's combination of screens and jerky movements can trigger nausea in sensitive riders. Come prepared.

TIER 3: Possibly Nauseating Attractions

8. Mad Tea Party (Magic Kingdom)

  • Nausea Triggers: spinning motion
  • Nausea Likelihood: fair

A much tamer ride that those above wins our eighth spot. When my husband was a kid, he was not even allowed to ride it because his father had once ruined his whole day at Disney World after getting a little carried away in spinning the tea cup he was riding. The saving grace for this ride is that you do have some control over how much and how fast you will spin, so if you do decide to ride, maybe try to keep it reasonable.

9. Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom)

  • Nausea Triggers: speed, large drop, ride moves backwards at times
  • Nausea Likelihood: fair

This is one of our family's favorite rides at Disney World, both because of the thrills and the intricate theming, such as only Disney imagineers can accomplish. However, the ride does involve fast turns, a big drop (by Disney standards), and a significant portion where the ride goes backward at a fast pace. We're usually fine after one ride, but the problem (if you want to call it that) is that queues for this ride are often short (especially when using the single rider line), tempting you to ride repeatedly, which can end up having an unsettling effect.

10. TRON Lightcycle Run (Magic Kingdom)

  • Nausea Triggers: speed, minor dips, turns
  • Nausea Likelihood: fair

This brand new coaster based on the movie TRON is one of the hottest attractions at Magic Kingdom. I tend to think of it as a Space Mountain for the 21st century. It is exciting and fast but not too intense, and doesn't heavily rely on screens like a lot of newer rides. It does, however, include fast turns and some minor dips, so if you are susceptible to motion sickness from rollercoasters in general, don't go in unprepared.

Honorable (?) Mentions

While these are the rides that typically give people the most trouble, if you're especially prone to motion sickness, there are several more you should approach with care. Among them you should especially keep these in mind:

  • Toy Story Midway Mania! (Hollywood Studios)
  • Alien Swirling Saucers (Hollywood Studios)
  • Soarin' Around the World (Epcot)
  • Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom)
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Magic Kingdom)
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Hollywood Studios)

If you're tackling any of these rides during your next visit to Disney, remember to take it easy, keep hydrated, and get your Blisslets in place five to ten minutes before getting on the ride.
