Blisslets provide fast, drug-free, and effective relief from nausea and anxiety.
Acupressure on the P6 (Nei-Kuan) point, located between the two central tendons below the wrist, has been used for thousands of years, by millions of people, as a natural remedy for anxiety or nausea due to motion, pregnancy, chemotherapy, and other causes (learn more). Multiple randomized scientific studies controlling for the placebo effect support its effectiveness. Blisslets delivers pressure to the P6 point by means of a specially designed bead embedded in a comfortable elastic. Looking for usage instructions? Click here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How are Blisslets different from other acupressure bands that treat morning sickness or motion sickness?
A: To put it kindly, other acupressure bands don't look like anything you would ever wear if you didn't feel like throwing up. Whether you are wearing them at the office, on a cruise, or just going about your day, you are going to have to use your bracelets in public, and this fact is at the forefront of our designs. The other leading brands force you to wear identical sweat-band-style or plastic bands on each wrist, which makes them very conspicuous and advertises your condition to the world. Blisslets, in contrast, are designed to be both comfortable and beautiful, made from soft, breathable materials, and they are sold in pairs that compliment each other without being matchy-matchy. Simply put, Blisslets are the only nausea relief bracelets that are also beautiful jewelry.
Q: Acupressure? I'm not sure how I feel about holistic and alternative approaches to health. Does this really work?
A: Hey, we were skeptics too until we tried it. But don't take our word for it. There is a significant amount of scientific evidence pointing to the effectiveness of P6 acupressure in relieving nausea. Check out, for example, this study from Obstetrics & Gynecology journal, which states that the "[u]se of acupressure resulted in a significantly lower frequency of morning sickness compared with placebo treatment," or this study from General Anesthesia journal, which shows evidence of its effectiveness for motion sickness. Can't get enough? Here and here are another two studies, the latter showing that it relieves visually-induced motion sickness, such as virtual reality gamers often experience. The amount of relief varies by person and depending on the intensity of the nausea, but a majority of users report that the bands contributed to a significant improvement in their symptoms.
Q: OK, I want to try them, but I'm worried they won't work on me. What is your return policy?
A: No need to worry. While it is true that some users may experience more relief than others, you can try Blisslets risk free with our money-back guarantee, which includes easy, free returns. We guarantee that Priority Mail Express packages will ship by 3:00 pm Central Time (as stated in your shipping confirmation e-mail) or we will refund your full shipping costs. Your shipping confirmation e-mail will include a tracking number that you can use to check the progress of your package with your chosen carrier. Q: Sounds great! How do I wear them?
A: Position the pressure beads on your P6 acupressure point, located three finger-widths below your wrist crease, right between the two tendons on the underside of your wrist. Blisslets come in two basic forms: either as elastics on their own or as elastics with leather covers. In either case, the elastic part should feel snug but comfortable. Note that in the case of Blisslets with a leather cover, you do not need to wear the cover for the bracelet to be effective.
Q: Do I have to wear both bracelets?
A: Yes, your Blisslets will come as a pair, and you should wear one bracelet on each arm in order to achieve the anti-nausea effect. See our usage instructions.
Q: How long should I wear them?
A: You can use your Blisslets as long as they feel comfortable and the condition causing your nausea persists (for example, throughout your cruise or pregnancy), and you may wear them for up to 48 continuous hours before taking a break.
Q: How long will it take until I experience relief?
A: The bracelets will be most effective if you begin wearing them before nausea sets in (for example, before travel begins in the case of motion sickness, or immediately after waking up or before meals in the case of morning sickness). The response to acupressure tends to vary by person, but it is common to experience relief within a few minutes of putting on the bands.
Q: What is your sizing like? How can I be sure they will fit my wrist?
A: Blisslets are available in four sizes to fit most wrists. Women's sizes are best for wrists between 5.25 and 7.5 inches, while our gender-neutral designs are best for wrists between 6 and 8.5 inches. For further sizing help, click here.
Q: Do you have children's sizes?
A: Depending on the child, a small will fit many elementary-age children. Small parts may become chocking hazards if removed from the bracelets, so children under three should not use Blisslets. We are considering releasing a specific children's collection with different designs in the future. If you'd be interested in such an option, drop us a line to let us know!
Q: Are there any side effects or warnings?
A: Caution: This Product Contains Natural Rubber Latex Which May Cause Allergic Reactions. P6 acupressure has no known side effects. After wearing the bracelets, a temporary circle will be visible in the skin where the pressure bead was placed. Please use them only as directed. The bracelets should be worn only on the P6 point, and use in another location will not relieve nausea. Nausea and vomiting may be associated with serious conditions and you should consult a doctor if symptoms persist. You should consult your doctor before wearing them if you have problems with reduced circulation, carpal tunnel syndrome, or neuropathy. While acupressure may be effective on its own or combined with other approaches, do not use it as a replacement for medically prescribed treatment. Wear your bracelets in a way that is snug but comfortable and does not interfere with circulation. If you experience swelling, pain, skin irritation, or numbness in your fingers, you should stop wearing the bracelets and consult a medical professional. Keep out of the reach of young children. If snaps or beads are removed they can be a choking hazard. Acupressure may provide relief of nausea symptoms but does not cure underlying causes. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
